ST DAVID'S DAY

WHAT IS ST DAVID'S DAY? When I haven't come to UK,so I don't know there is a holiday in March. I had found the history for ST DAVID'S DAY in BBC.

Celebrated each year on 1 March, Saint David's Day is the feast day for Wales' patron saint. 1st March marks the death of St David, who died on that day in 589 AD. In the 18th century it was declared a national day of celebration in Wales.

In my opinion, I think ST DAVID is a fammer person in Wales. And when my friends drived with me then I saw many yellow flowers on the side of the road. They are very beautiful.
But I will remember this the interesting holiday in Wales.

Education in Britain - Homeschooling

Education in Britain, many people in the UK do not realise that British home education (known as 'homeschooling' in the USA) is legal, and becoming more popular all the time. According to the 1996 education act in England and Wales, it is parents who are responsible for providing their children's education 'in school or otherwise', suitable for the age, ability and aptitude of each child.

This means that home educators in the UK do not have to be trained teachers, nor do they need any special qualifications to educate their children at home. Some British home educating families choose to use a structured 'homeschool' curriculum; some pick and choose school-type text books from bookshops;, some use the Internet and libraries to find suitable educational resources; some follow the children's interests and do little or no teaching as such. There are no rules for home education in the UK - it's up to each family to ensure that their children receive appropriate education, and this will vary from child to child.

History of Halloween

Halloween is the holiday in the Eurupuan Country .In China ,there is not Halloween in it.So,I know a little history of halloween in UK and the internet.
History of Halloween, like any other festival's history is inspired through traditions that have transpired through ages from one generation to another. We follow them mostly as did our dads and grandpas. And as this process goes on, much of their originality get distorted with newer additions and alterations. It happens so gradually, spanning over so many ages, that we hardly come to know about these distortions.

At one point of time it leaves us puzzled, with its multicolored faces. Digging into its history helps sieve out the facts from the fantasies which caught us unaware. Yet, doubts still lurk deep in our soul, especially when the reality differs from what has taken a deep seated root into our beliefs. The history of Halloween Day, as culled from the net, is being depicted here in this light. This is to help out those who are interested in washing off the superficial hues to reach the core and know things as they truly are. 'Trick or treat' may be an innocent fun to relish on the Halloween Day. But just think about a bunch of frightening fantasies and the scary stories featuring ghosts, witches, monsters, evils, elves and animal sacrifices associated with it. They are no more innocent. Are these stories a myth or there is a blend of some reality? Come and plunge into the halloween history to unfurl yourself the age-old veil of mysticism draped around it. SYMMETRICAL FAMILIES

What is different between Chinese family and the British family ? I think the differentiate is the" family education".

Because in chinese family parents would teached the children humility to other person and help each other, but they fotgot to tell the children "how to do a independent person"? In fact , more and more chinese abroad students have a good family education in China. They understund civility is the important things. But they have insufficient with do childish things in life.

WELCOME AND FAMILY!!

When I came to England. The feeling is not really the same, the humanistic atmosphere here very different ah!

In the United Kingdom, you will deeply feel this is a leisurely country. The road, you can not see the pedestrians hurry; Roadside bench and the grass is always someone sitting there reading or talking; In cafes and wine people slowly Commodities Barry beer or a coffee, as if for hundreds of years in a British taste the same life. In the United Kingdom, look around the environment, everywhere is crowded, spotless, clean air, and even the sun is gentle. In this environment purification, agitate and will become the heart of calm down.

British family, I could not personally understand, I think they are all conditions.Chinese students carefully to help us, so here I feel warm and happy!
